About WoofersWalks
Hi, I'm Sian.
After getting my first dog, Kaya, a Boxer x Lab, from a rescue centre, I became really interested in animal behaviour and training and so I went back to college to study this.
I have a degree in Animal Behaviour & Welfare (BSc Hons).
I originally set up Woofers Walks while I was studying and ran it successfully for several years. During that time I also volunteered at a local dog training club.
I then went to work at Dogs Trust for over two years, firstly as a Senior Coach running training classes at Dog School and then as a CC2 Dog Trainer at one of the rehoming centres.
Sadly I lost Kaya (who features in many of these pictures) in 2017. In 2018 I adopted my rescue pup, Wesley, a Terrier x Chihuahua. I loved working at Dogs Trust but feeling that I was missing out on time with him due to my long commute, I decided to start up Woofers Walks again.
I have a keen interest in training. Wesley and I are working towards our Good Citizens Gold Award, attend Rally obedience classes where we have just started competing and we go to agility.
I love going out into the country to do long cross country walks and going to lots of different places. Not only do I find this interesting, but dogs like going and exploring different sites and smells too. Your dog will come out on a stimulating and interesting walk in a variety of locations. I make sure that the walk is suitable for your breed and age of dog and that the other dogs they go for their walk with, are similar in play style and temperament, so that they all get along and have a great time.
I am very reliable, trustworthy and conscientious and I will look after your dog, as if it was my own and as you can see I love my dog! You can follow Wesley's adventures on his Instagram page @wesleywoofer
